Some info. on Loafer Creek Horse Camp in Oroville, managed by Ca. DPR.  
www.reserveamerica.com  (you may need to type in Lake Oroville before 
Loafer Creek) or 1 800 444-PARK. There are 15 campsites.  Two pens with 
every site (2 horses per site) a round pen, horse wash rack, showers and 
toilets. No hook ups. The horse camp is the loction of the vet 
check/rest stop along the route of the LOVERide in Nov. Miles and miles 
of  trails.

 No Day use parking at the horse camp, but free parking is available at 
the Saddle Dam area on Kelly Ridge Road.

You can take a chance on space available (non peak use is best for that) 
or make a reservation (fee added for reservation)     There is also a 
fee for a cancellation.   You may need to type in Lake Oroville before 
Loafer Creek.)  If any problems with reservations, please advise the 
Oroville Chamber 530 538-2542

Also, (not for longer than overnight when traveling)---- parking for 
self contained units with trailers is available at the north end 
Oroville along Highway 70-- Exit at Garden Drive (west) off  Highway 70. 
Honor system $10.00 Paved parking lot, but you can back  up adjacent to 
dirt area  so you can tie horses to trailer.  Manure clean up is 
necessary. No facilities for camping, just a parking lot, but restrooms 
and picnic tables at a park close by.
