Re: [RC] rider weights - Chris Paus

Whatever.

Difference is what makes the world go round. If CTR organization had the very same rules, then there wouldn't be any need for more than one, would there? And if CTR and endurance were the same, well, it would be pretty boring!

There's lots of reasons to do both sports and participate or not participate in any organization. This one is available to me close by. I rarely have to drive more than an hour or two to get to a nice ride. The RMs do their best, trails are interesting and well marked, food is good, camping is good, and we come home with a ribbon and a trinket for our efforts. What's so bad about that? There's a lot of worse ways to spend one's time on horseback.

it's just my humble opinion but i feel the breakout by rider weights is just to keep more people happy with placings. the horse is used to you and you are out there riding, everyone should be in one division, imho. kids are, in natrc cp division is... it's like at horse shows where they break classes down to blue haired old ladies over 40 riding geldings... just so everyone can get a ribbon...
