Once and for all? Wouldn't the ration need to be adjusted over time for
changing demands and conditions, including the age of the horse?

Cindy>

Obviously. Think of athletic nutrition as having three parts: Foundation,
Strategic and Tactical. The Foundation ration changes very little, and that's
the one you have to get right first. The Strategic ration follows the
conditioning/competition protocol, with some progressive adjustments, primarily
in the macronutrient arena. Tactical nutrition is targeted nutrition, for
solving problems or achieving top performance/safety in competition. Eleanor
Kellon (Drkellon@xxxxxxx) can give you good advice on all three. She's been a
paid consultant to me for years.

But I still read the science. It's my responsibility to stay in front of the
pack.
