[RC] [RC] Mohair English girth suggestions wanted - Maureen A. Fager

I use a mohair girth. What I found is that they stretch alot, (which I like) Bought the normal measurement for my horse and it strected a bit too much. Next time would buy 2 inches shorter, however, my "normal" measurement was for the third hole one each side of the billet, so I had room to work with.

My horse is thin skinned and fine haired and never had any problems with the girth, even when it was dirty. I think I got it from Sportack. One thing I really liked about it, was it has D rings on the middle of the girth, like a western girth, for clipping breast collars. Very handy on an english saddle set up.

Easy to wash and dry, wouldn't use anything else.

Cheers,
Maureen
