[RC] LDs bad - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I was interested in the comment "even watching in the pasture ...this is a 100
mile horse".

How can you tell looking at a horse that they
might be capable of starting in 50's or even
100's? I hate to sound ignorant but I am.

I just started doing LDs with my POA. We've done
2 this year and I keep going back and forth about
whether or not to do a 50 before year end or just
another LD. She eats (voraciously) on the trail
drinks well and finished both rides happy and
healthy.

Sure, I think she could do a 50, a slow one and
there's one near me that I'm debating on trying
but on the other hand our conditioning since the
ride in June has been our 1 hour dressage lesson
and then 2 to 3 times a week we do about another
hour or two in the arena practicing.

She recovers well and looking at her I'd say a 50
might be possible for her but I'm not in any
shape to ride 9+ hours.
