==========================================

I think Betty Edgar has made a very good point.
I have ridden 1 100er at Mt Adams in Wa. I did finish.
However I can't say that I felt the "euphoria" or
"zen thing" you are supposed to feel. I only felt
entirely humbled by my magnificent animal that was
able to carry my a** for that many miles. I vowed
to never again do that to a horse unless I was in
good enough shape to do my share of
the work. It is not a noble thing in my mind to flop
around on the back of a horse unbalanced from pain
for the sake of 100 miles. I don't think alot of
of riders should ride or be encouraged to ride 100's
for that reason. I will try it again when I can
"hop off" and do my share. patty
