[RC] Poor eyesight/fear of llamas - Ridecamp Guest

Please Reply to: Sharon Hahn sharon.hahn@xxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
==========================================

My horses live in the same pasture with their 2 llama buddies. Scared them for
about 2 days when I first got the llamas.
The big horses were used to the llamas by the time I brought
my filly home, so she's never been afraid of them.

I have dreams of parking my trailer, with llamas, near the
vet areas so my horses will go, "Hey, there's my llama" and
everyone's else's horse will freak & have a sky-high pulse.
So far I have not needed to resort to this evil tactic, though.

Same with the sight of llamas. My theory is that they think those animals
might have once been horses, but something went terribly wrong.

Another thing that seems to alarm some horses is burros (donkeys). Don't ask
me why, but I've seen horses absolutely freak out over them.
