[RC] lightening.....better off out or In ? - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Beth caglehead10@xxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Seems theres no real answer. just what you are most comfortable with . Just this past spring, A friends Mini was struck by lightening. Her Horses always stayed outside and all have run-ins for cover. She was a firm beleiever that they should be out in " whatever " weather . Her pastures are also semi-wooded. She came Home late to find Her Mini on the ground ,next to the run-in, stiff as a board and his legs sticking up in the air . After giving Him a Nudge, He moved , He was still alive ! After many weeks of recovering, He is now back to normal. She was very lucky. As best She can figure, He must of been standing next to, or In His run-in as There is a Big Burn Streak across the run-in Shed. Now, She brings her horses inside during bad weather, she just feels a little better do that even tho they still may be safer out . whatever makes you sleep better at night ! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
