Re: [RC] Opinions on Gaston Mercier, Stonewall, or other saddles? - kazevedo

Quoting Merryben@xxxxxxx:

Trilby has ridden most if not all of her 55,000+ miles in a Stonewall.

Wow, that's amazing! She's probably gone through many of them though, right?
They don't look as though they are made with the best leather, and I've heard
they do tend to wear out. Although, I've met another endurance rider whose
gone thousands and thousands of miles in Stonewall's and loves them too. She
has the cinch and rigging replaced (they come with western rigging), and the
stirrup leathers upgraded every time she buys a new Stonewall (I think she has
6 between her husband and herself). Do you know if Trilby customizes her
Stonewalls or anything?

Thanks for the reply Merryben,

:)Katie
