Re: [RC] feeding question - Mary Krauss

Can you skip the supplements? I ask as someone who's pretty skeptical of supplements unless there's some very specific call for them. Vitamins are nice, but they're easily added to a mere handful of sweet feed. Is there a particular need for anything more?? We used to mix vitamins and carrots with a little applesauce to our fatty so he wouldn't feel deprived. Sometimes took him longer to eat his snack because he had to lick up every little bit of the applesauce.... Now we don't worry about it because we've wound up with all three FAT horses so no one gets anything but vitamins, hay, and grass.
