I found it would only work well when it was really high on my body (in a really high pocket on a fishing vest or on the back of my neck, tucked in a scarf), until I bought a clip for it. Now I can clip it to my collar or my belt in back or even my breastcollar and it works fine. I thought i really liked the features of this GPS, it looked reasonable and i wanted something i could download maps from. i bought mine second hand, even though i had reseached and was going to by new, thought i got lucky another gal didn't want a download function and was changing to the wrist kind.
