RE: [RC] ] Endurance Futurity? - rides2far - Adam and JannelleI was just thinking that this sport could use a little "cash" incentive for the longer distences. We all have "plans" but I like the idea of having a little skin in the game to push me to prepare. I can hear some people complaining that we would be likly to push our horses to fast or something else, but we are all adults and should be trusted to take good care of our horses. Having a trustworthy 3rd party taking care of the money is important. Public escrow companies do this type of thing, but they cost money. If the AERC is unable to do it I wonder if one of the regional groups could handle the funds? I would sign up some of my girls in a couple of years (I already have done 50's on the 2 6yr olds, and the other horses are two young to begin riding) I will do what I can to help this move forward. I agree that the money should be minor, but enough to mean something to the owner.
