Re: [SPAM] [RC] Electrolytes - as a supplement - Laney HumphreyI once knew a horse that got quite sick from being given e'lytes daily. He wasn't ridden much at all and was being given a fairly hefty dose. Can't remember what his symptoms were but when the vet figured out that he was being given tack store e'lytes daily & said to stop, the horse recovered.laney Rae Callaway wrote: Reason I'm asking is that I have a boarder - a first time horse owner - who is insisting that I feed her horse electrolytes in his feed. Along with several other supplements. I told her in the beginning that I wouldn't be adding the electrolytes because I didn't feel it was good for the horse, but now she's started prepackaging the supplements and I don't know what all is in there anymore, except for the neon pink tack store electrolytes. If I'm going to take a stand on this, I'd like some facts to back it up. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
