[RC] aussie saddle search - Dawn Simas

I highly recommend calling Aussie Colin Dangaard in Malibu.  He is a kick in the pants to talk to and really knows his stuff.  I bought my first Syd Hill from him 20 years ago.  It didn't fit my new QH, so Colin designed a saddle (handmade in Aust) for my new horse.  It's an endurance hybrid, on the website it's called the Southern Cross Endurance.  Endurance style looking with poleys.  He'll put any rigging/stirrups/etc. you want.  And the best part is that the tree is adjustable so he can alter it for you any time.  It's the last saddle I will ever own.  :)  Mine cost $2300 or so.  You can also check out the Fox Poley and Maverick, which are very similar, but mass produced for Colin (so less options available) and heavier than the endurance, and is only $800 or so I think.  Almost all his saddles have adjustable trees.

Good luck!
Dawn
