I dated a vet a bazillion years ago and there's no one I'd rather have sew me up than him, either!  Never saw anyone take the time to make sure it was clean and neat and the edges matched so you didn't have a horrible scar when you were finished - Here's my vote for Vets as primary care physicians Smiley emoticon

I've often joked with my vets that I wish they could treat me instead of
those "real" doctors!  But, this isn't funny.  What a great explanation of
why one should use the meds for both "wind up pain" and especially the
explanation about anti-inflammatory drugs to prevent adhesions.  I can
certainly see how I may have inadvertently caused some of my adhesions,
but no doctor ever explained this to me!!!  Thanks, Susan, even if it is
too late for me.  I'll know in the future.  Cindy
