[RC] bit-head dropping and charging Morgan - Ridecamp Guest

Terrifying indeed, cantering with the nose between the ankles! My Chico started
doing that with ANY shank/curb bit,and he is heavy on the forehand anyway. One
guy whose opinions I value said that this was learned avoidance behavior, and
that Chico would never be rideable in a shank/curb in the future. The cure for
me was a new generation gag from Nat'l Bridle Shop called a National Bridle
Shop Ported Bradoon Snaffle. This bit LOOKS like some sort of torture device
because it has a lot of parts to it.In fact it is extremely mild, then very
progressively becomes somewhat stronger. This or a simple ring snaffle with
regular or French link mouth is the way to go for Chico-but I cannot use the
French link when field trialing.
