I strongly disagree with "mandatory" equipment. I know how to choose my tack & tighten my saddle.

I think this is an opportunity for rider education. It's pretty common to see the bodies go flying at the start of some rides, and at least one that I have been behind was from a tack issue.

horse that had the saddle dragging under it's belly...a breast collar would have prevented the whole thing from becoming that bad. Maybe it would be wise to make it a mandatory piece of equipment like shoes on many of these courses?
