RE: [RC] [RC] Saddle Fitting - terry banister

Flexible-panel saddles overcome this very Real issue. They not only flex with the horse's movement, but adapt to the horse's change in body condition. They still have a rigid tree for rider comfort, but it does not make contact with the horse, only the flexible panels do. So these types of saddle are a compromise solution for many of the horse and rider issues that develop with rigid-tree and treeless saddles. Each manufacturer has a different method of cutting, layering and attaching the Delrin panels to the tree, but overall, the panel concept works quite well. And the self-adjusting models such as the American-Flex will work for switching between multiple horses without needing to have "professional" adjustments.
