Re: [RC] pommel pack question - Jeannie Gillen

Zippers dry up over time and use...I put WD40 on mine....but after 4 years
it too busted...so I put in a new zipper for $1.50

I rode with snugpacks for years and recently got a stowaway pommel
pack...I
am wondering
if anyone has had the following problems with theirs......the zippers
"unzip" themselves!! It's a two
way zipper....so both sides zip all the way down to the bottom.... This
usually happens when moving out, so stuff tumbles out before I notice.

First time, I lost my very expensive pruning shears I had been carrying to
clear local trails......
I did backtrack and found them on the trail.....with handles chewed by
some
sort of critter....

This weekend, it was my camera that fell out....!!!hope it isn't broken

This is a pain in the neck...with 12 years or so of the snugpak,I never
had
zippers open themselves!!!

However, I like the stowaway for the extra compartments...
