[RC] Conditioning in Rain and Mud - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Here in Western Oregon if the trails are too muddy ,and they usually are most
of the winter and spring, we ride on the logging roads. Our logging roads are
graveled. Our horses feet get used to rocks all winter long. When the trails
dry somewhat inbetween rain storms you ride only up hill or on the flat, no
down hill, but you need to feel it out. If it feels slick don't go faster than
a walk or you could injure your horse. They run around in the pasture all
winter slipping and sliding, but they do not have us on their backs interfering
with balance.
