[RC] Easyboot without heelstrap - Linda Dewees

Karen, I don't get how this works, having no heel strap to hold the boot on. Does the gaiter keep the boot from falling off? It seems like the boot would wiggle around a bit. (I don't have Epics, so maybe I need to see it) I remember reading how you used the old Easyboots without heel straps by foaming them on. Do you use foam with Epics? Either way it seems like the boots would come off the wedge shaped hoof. I guess it's hard to understand since I lose one occasionally WITH the heel strap. Without it the boot seems like a slipper.

I just got my order of 1/4 inch thick neoprene rubber to make lifts (insoles?) for my boots that hit too high on my pony's coronary band. I hope this works for her. It will make her taller too!
