A previous post said"Were you following someone in the dark that had a 
glow stick on their horse? I followed someone on Tevis last year that 
had a glow stick in the horses tail. I saw that thing swing back and
forth all the way down Calif Loop."

A similar situation happened on Tevis with 5 or so riders in front of us 
on the California loop with glow sticks on their stirrups.  Looks really 
unusual from a distance with them swinging back and forth in a long line.
