Re: [RC] Stirrups for creaky knees - Ericka Nelson

I use the easy ride stirrup.  I found that I can change the width to fit english leathers or western fenders by keeping a spare longer set of nuts and bolts and pvc pipe on hand.  I would suggest getting the ones with cages or even the trapaderos (?).  I do use a vise when i switch back to english leathers, as it is a lot narrower.  Ive had my easy rides for about seven years.  I've changed the pads out once.

Does anyone have recommendations for good stirrups that fit on Wintec webbers for a light heavyweight rider with mildly arthritic knees?  My eighth anniversary is coming up, so I know what my husband is going to get me instead of roses!

*I'm using wintec webbers on a couple of Reactor Panel saddles.  One saddle has Flexride stirrups with cages, which I loved for years;and have some flex to absorb shock. I also have a couple of Easy ride stirrips with cages.
These have a slighlty bigger foot platform (would be a better choice for a big foot like mine, or a man's foot)...and
have a rubber piece at the top to absorb shock and also a thick foam platform for your foot.  I would say for, me, the Easyrides have a bit more stability.

I love the flexrides as they are the lightest of the two....but I did have a fair number of the cages break over the years.
The easyrides are clunkier looking and bigger (more to bang around when moving saddles, etc),but right now seem to be working best for me....

Either stirrup needs to be ordered with the narrower top for the webbers or english leathers.
