[RC] Buying Horse Over Internet - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I just recently saw a letter in Equus from another person
looking to buy a Rocky sight unseen from another state.
I wouldn't do it. Surely spending $300 on airfare to go
meet the horse in person is worth it considering all
the expense you'll have shipping the horse and having to
care for it as long as it's yours? What if you don't
like the horse or it has issues? I'd be real glad to have
spent the money on airfare to avoid such a problem.

I'm in the market for a new horse and wonder if any of you have
had any dealings with Rocky Mountain Training Center in
Colorado. The thought of buying a horse unseen scares me but I
know some of you have done it. Any thoughts or advice you can
give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,  Pat Bush   AERC#1676
