Re: [RC] Childrens books - Chris Paus

I recently re-read King of the Wind and I'm reading the Black Stallion series to my grandson. We're on "The Son of the Black Stallion" right now.

Gotta tell you all my own little trivia about Walter Farley. I did write him a fan letter as a child and he did write back. I didn't keep it, darn it, but he did!

Later, much later, when I acquired my gelding Zab (MiZab Memoria), I found a book by Marshall Partlow. In it was a picture of the origina. Zab and a note that Walter Farley called Zab "his pegasus." He wasn't Farley's horse, but he got to ride him.

My own little connection to something cool.
