[RC] (no subject) - ConfederatePI

I am a long time lurker on Ridecamp and a friend of John and Nuni.  I had the privilege to be the last one to ride with John before his stroke.  His was taking the time to teach me all about endurance riding, training, conditioning, and competing.  He and Nuni are the most giving unselfish people I have met.  They let me into their home and their life and never asked for anything.  John trusted me with his good horses and helped me every step along the way.  He shared his knowledge and experience just because I asked.  We were training for my first 50 miler when his stroke occurred.  He is an amazing person in his energy and fitness.  I struggle daily to match his level of living life.  I think of John and what he has done for me almost daily.  I am currently unable to ride due to a bad motorcycle accident, but I plan my conditioning and training schedule for the day I can ride again.  I know John does the same, he is always thinking of ways to do everything better.  I miss them dearly since they havel left.  For those of you who knew John in these past years, you know what I am talking about.  For those of you who don't, you are missing out on knowing one of the greatest supporters of endurance and endurance wanna be's.  I will be forever thankful for getting to know John and Nuni and I wish them the best and hope for peace and comfort for John.
