Endurance.Net Ridecamp Archives

Hi guys,anyone has any  input or experience on the use of weekly injection 
of pentosan polysulphate as a prophylactic in older endurance horses or in 
horses with early OA?I have surfed the archive on ridecamp and there was 
only one article on pentosan.
Roger Rittenhouse ,who seem always to have the 1st bite  of any thing new 
and technical on endurance , is also blank on this issue.I have checked with 
my orthopods colleagues in my hospital whether  it is used in human and  no 
one seem to know.Maybe it come under adifferent name. But our local supplier 
who hails from Australia thinks it is more effective than oral or IM 
glucosamine.:Weekly injection times 4 and effect could last for 5 to 6 
months. Sounds too good to be true!
