[RC] AERC online question - Michael Maul

In response to:"Then I looked at my other horse whose ID is 32924 and in the web address of his information shows ID 32917. I looked up myself, my AERC number is M31014 and the web address ID is 23834."

The short answer is that there are external ID numbers that you and I see like AERC numbers. In the case of Ruok - his AERC number is H32924

But inside the database - he has an internal ID which is

http://www.doublejoy.com/aerc/guest/hhReport.asp?hID=32917

Even though those are different - the database manager software handles this so that it's not a problem for you.

Bottom line is

External ID Ruok (AERC#:H32924)

is the same horse as hhReport.asp?hID=32917

The same applies to your AERC #. There's an internal and an external ID.

The long answer is why that needs to be done...:-)

Mike
