RE: [RC] joint supplements -- which is best value? - Stephanie E Caldwell

I don't have a chart Glenda, but I've used a couple.

I used InflamAway for a while, but it's got too much Yucca for my blood.
I didn't want to mask her pain if any.

I like LameAway from Cheval. Expensive but well worth it. My horse
didn't creak, crack, or pop on it.

However it looks like she's insulin resistant, so now she's getting just
hay and water, no supplements... She creaks and pops like an old woman!

If LameAway is approved by Star's Dietician then she's back on it ASAP!

Steph

Subject: [RC] joint supplements -- which is best value?

Has anyone really studied the 800 million <BG> joint supplements
available
to know which are the most value-for-money of the stuff most likely to
actually help?

I would like to start my new horse on a joint supplement (presumably
glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate) as a preventive measure, but the
choices are overwhelming!

I know there's an expert in just about everything on this forum, and I
bet
someone somewhere has done their own study and made a little chart and
everything -- care to share? :))
