Re: [RC] ROC / Conflict of interest - heidi

Per the conflict of interest,
Whom out there, who participates in AERC rides, would not have some
kind of precieved conflict of interest? Is it possible that someone who
rides / attends the same AERC rides they are sanctioning would also
have a conflict of interest? What if the montitary incentive for them
were a horse they have for sale (instead of all that $$$ we know RM make
by holding rides).

You are right that it can never quite be zero. You wouldn't want someone
doing the job that was not genuinely interested in endurance, and most
people like that do at some point at least ride.

That said, it's a bit like horse deaths. You can never make them zero,
but you can darn sure eliminate the really big and offending causes. And
striving to minimize the problem is the right thing to do, instead of
pretending the problem doesn't exist.
