Re: [RC] [RC] speaking of scratches... what else could it be? - Laurie Durgin

Weeelll, I have 4 feet of mud gone down hill from my paddocks shrinking my lower fence. I have a foot of mud, the 'idiots' occasionally trot or Heaven forbid canter too ,to get to 'dinner".Mine take 'mud naps'.I have to push round bales about 100 feet, cause the tractor is getting stuck. My ring is sloppy, and about drys out for the next 3 day rainfall. . .
I WILL TAKE YOUR 4 FEET OF SNOW.iT'S WHITE, IT'S CLEAN, THEY COULD GET SNOW BATHES, WE COULD ROLL BALES OUT AND MAKE SNOW ANGELS, i COULD TUNNEL OUT TO THE HORSES instead losing my boots in sucking mud.
I could 'crisco" thier hooves instead of painting them purple with thrush buster.
I could wear cute snow clothes with perky hats instead of mud encrusted raincoats. Bet snow doesn't leak into your boots as easily as 'manure mud soup".
You can even make snow Ice cream!!

Ya ever see picturesque(?) scenes of mud on the walks, drives and roofs. . . hhmmmmm
No it's always snow and cute perky clean snow hats!!!!! aarraggghhh

Yes, mud fever/scratches are the same thing.:-) :-) And who has mud in the
winter???????You just put that in to make us "Northern" people jealous

can't really remember what mud looks like:-) ;-)

I wonder if this is what the vets call "mud fever", from standing in the mud in the winter?
