Re: [RC] [RC] Favorite Rides in 2004 - East Coast--TEAMWORK - SteelSideDown

I had several wonderful rides this year, so many ride managers to thank.  But, I wanted to mention "what" made several rides the best.

(Remember endurance "riding"? --i.e not "racing")

Twice this year, I had the pleasure of spending the whole day with another horse and rider team.  We chatted, got horses to eat and drink together, waited for each other in the holds, watched for each others loose shoes/easyboots, and mostly took turns watching for those elusive trail markers!

Getting through both these rides was a team effort, the four of us did it together.  So how do we choose to end the ride?  Flip a coin? Race off tired horses?  Of course not, we did it all together, we should all finish together.

Thank You!  Liberty Run and Doncaster for allowing horsemanship to "win" the ride!  And Thanks to Yvette (&Sedona Sun) and Vicki (&Davids Beau) for the most enjoyable rides of the year.
