[RC] talk about reactionary - LTYearwood

Okay. I could sling mud. I could really react. Like a lot of people here are doing.
I will just say that there is a lot of defensiveness here about barefoot horses and I find that fascinating.
Lots of jumping to conclusions, too.
Defensiveness. Jumping to conclusions. I wonder what all that is based in? Because I never said EVEN ONCE that MY WAY IS THE WAY.
However everyone ASSUMES I am saying that.

Interesting, that Lynne would assume I am talking about ONE horse and that I don't even have mileage on that ONE horse. How do you KNOW that? You havne't bothered to ASK.
Anyway, I was out RIDING my barefoot horseS today, so I didn't have time, and don't have time to waste responding to generalizations. It's ridiculous.

Two more points and I'm outta here:

1.) My hoofcare specialist studied for 800 hours. And she was a farrier for TWENTY YEARS before she became a Strasser hoofcare specialist.
2.) I agree with Heidi that we need people who work together. I have just not been able to run into vets who have that kind of set up. I have run into vets who still suggest things like stall rest for foot abcesses. Which bothers me because movement helps the abcess come out. In this day and age, vets -- and I am talking about the two I recently worked with so don't go getting all in a huff -- I wish vets ewre just a little more familiar with the needs of horses and their feet.
