Re: [RC] talk about reactionary - heidi

OK, Lori, you wrote this:

so I didn't have
time, and don't have time to waste responding to generalizations. It's
ridiculous.

And then you wrote this:

1.) My hoofcare specialist studied for 800 hours. And she was a farrier
for TWENTY YEARS before she became a Strasser hoofcare specialist.
<snip>
In this day and age, vets -- and I am talking about the two I recently
worked with so don't go getting all in a huff -- I wish vets ewre just
a little more familiar with the needs of horses and their feet.

Even though you say you are only talking about two vets, you then go on to
generalize about all vets.

I'm glad you have a "hoof care specialist" who has spent that much time
learning. But I think where folks are getting a bit bent about all this
is when you suggest (generalize??) that vets don't do the same thing, when
in fact, a great many vets are extremely knowledgeable and spend
considerable time continuing to learn. Despite your disclaimer, it really
does sound like you are condemning the veterinary profession in general,
when perhaps it would be more accurate to say that you've not chosen vets
well-versed in the area(s) in which you have needs.

Heidi
