I did alot of research before I purchased my GPS. I have a Garmin 60c. I
was recently created to bridge the gap for car/hiking users. I love it and
my husbands says it's the best money we've ever spent. It is a high end
model and is fairly expensive (lists for about 450 + 99 software). I found
mine for 350 at the GPS Store. Their prices vary by clicking on the "today
prices" button.

It is color, has more functionality than one would ever outgrow. It is
about the size of a walkie talkie. Downloads/uploads to computer and also
will tell you any place of interest from where you are (software). ie. On
the road and want to know where exit ? is or closest gas/walmart. I use it
for training to track milage/miles per hour when riding. Tells you how long
you were moving and how long you stopped.

Works great in the truck for finding camps late at night based only on
address (I'm geographically challenged so it has been my best friend at
times!)

It's the one on the top of the website... http://www.thegpsstore.com/

Let me know if you have specific questions. I spent so much time looking at
these, I hope someone else can benefit from the time I took away from
riding!!

Melanie

Subject: [RC] GPS Question

Hello, I am looking into purchasing a gps system and
would like to get some advice to what would best suit
me. I do alot of trail blazing and would like
something that can hold memory of trails and maybe
even have some kind of connectability to a computer
(that is optional though). Also looking for something
that keep up with my speed (estimate of course), and
tell me the amount of time I have been riding. (or
basically a clock). Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks A Bunch
Kelly
