I found this on another forum, it is quite amusing and true if you have been around since the indoctrination of the particular theology/methodology.

"Gee......do you mean one of those 'fancy new age trims" that guarantee that your horse will be lame because you didn't:

a) pay big bucks for a 5 hour "super duper, new age, natural horsemanship, four point, mustang trim" clinic.
b) Soak his feet for exactly 15 minutes twice a day.
c) Walked him over gravel until he cries "uncle."
d) Trim him to the "live hoof" so his feet are so sensitive that he has to lay down every chance he gets.
e) Turn him out 24/7 in the pouring rain and snow.
f) use $250 special custom boots so you can ride him, or at least so he can walk some-what-sound to and forth from his paddock.
g) Etc....
