Just don't touch it unless you need to, that would be intimidation and/or
assault.  Again if the police get involved, remember to not tell them why
you were carrying until you talk to your attorney.  I'll bet the lawyer will
advise you to talk about bears, mountain lions etc. not these particular
people.  If you talk about them it could be construed that you were planning
to provoke them into a fight.
