Just don't touch it unless you need to, that would be intimidation and/or
assault.  Again if the police get involved, remember to not tell them why
you were carrying until you talk to your attorney.  I'll bet the lawyer
will
advise you to talk about bears, mountain lions etc. not these particular
people.  If you talk about them it could be construed that you were
planning
to provoke them into a fight.

I would certainly agree with Ed that one should not go around blabbing
about the use of a firearm nor brandishing one.  Responsible gun owners
would not do so.  Out here it's very common, especially in the mountains,
for folks to have a gun on their saddle or person.  I wouldn't think
anything of it.  Since many people carry them for bears, snakes, hunting,
to be able to shoot an injured horse that is suffering, etc., that would
be the assumption.  However, if someone truly attacked you, you might be
able to defend yourself...which you have every right to do.  Cindy
