My walking horse mare was the same. She could fly downhill and do it very 
safely. The JBird ( Arab) is a good downhill horse but she would leve him in 
her dust. She was also hot - but safe. She might pull your arms and be shorting 
fire - but doing it going straight down the trail with a purpose. If we are 
lucky we get one great horse to ride in our lifetime. I've had mine - anything 
else is just icing on the cake.
