RE: [RC] [RC] bitless bridles - heidi larson

I used a bitless from Mossy Rock Endurance and Ash hated it. He apparently does not like the squeezing action. Goes fine in a snaffle, so we went back to that and we haven't had any problems. The bitless had him shaking his head like a dog and he actually went down on one knee shaking so hard.

Just remember, that BITLESS isn't PRESSURELESS.
Instead of pressure on the mouth, it is on the nerves
on the face and on the poll.

I tried a bitless bridle on my boy after he sustained
a mouth injury. Well, he hated it. I ended up taking
him to a chiro vet and found out the bitless had put
severe pressure on his poll causing him quite a bit of
pain.

They are just another tool in the tool box. You still
have to communicate with seat and leg aids and gentle
hands.
