RE: [RC] [RC] skin problem - Faustina Duffy

Sounds like rain rot. It's a fungal dermatitis. You can try several things-Shapley's MTG, Aloe Vera Juice, Listerine, Desitin...My personal preference is a capful (about a tablespoon) of Captan powder (an antifungal you buy at the hardware store-usually for tomatoes) to a gallon of warm water, spray often. Seems to work fastest (but if someone else knowws something better-I'm all ears!)

I have a skin problem with my little 6 yr. old mare. It started with just a few hard bumps about the size of a pencil eraser....now it has spread to the top of her entire hind quarters and some even over on her back. Anyone have an idea what this might be?
