[RC] affording endurance (well, LD for me) - Dede Johnson

Well, for starters, we don't have a big mortgage. We live in a small house that we rent on a ranch. Horse facilities are minimal (no barn, just 1 acre pasture and corrals) but the price is right. Yes, I get frustrated not having a garage, or enough storage for all out "stuff", but again, the price is right. The house we own is in town and renters pretty much pay our mortgage. We own older trucks that are paid for, which enabled me to get a new (for the first time in my life) horse trailer. Woo hoo! I work full time, which for me is a big part of why I only do LD (I know, there are lots of full time working real endurance riders, but it does not work for me, which is fine.) Oh, and no kids- only the 4 legged type.
