Feeding beet pulp pellets safely isn't hard.  Here's what I do:  I use a 
bucket large enough to hold a day's supply of soaked & therefore much 
expanded beet pulp.  I prepare it either am or pm but make enough for 
both feeds.  In other words, if I mix it in the am, I'll feed it that pm 
& next am.  It doesn't spoil (but I don't live in the desert). 
   If you're concerned about the molasses in the shredded variety, just 
soak it and pour the water off.  Do this until the water runs clear, 
then no molasses!
