Re: [RC] My horse choked on beet pulp - clarification - Sarah Simmons

I am getting lots of private emails asking why I don't
feed shreds instead of the pellets so I feel I need to
clarify myself here.

Where I live, the only shredded beet pulp available
has molasses in it. I have a suspected
insulin-resistant horse (blood test pending) so I was
directed by the vet to feed plain beet pulp without
any added molasses.

At any rate, we will start soaking the pellets when I
can start feeding them again sometime next week.

Sarah
