Re: [RC] Cold Weather Riding - Mike & Kathy Kelly

Well, this person in the SW (near Flagstaff, AZ) is enjoying waking up to 10in of snow!!  It was a wet one (we got nearly an inch of rain before the snow started), and I've been out knocking the snow out of the aspen trees, hoping to avoid losing any branches.  The pine trees (we live in the world's largest Ponderosa Pine forest) are heavy with snow, it feels like Christmas!

The horses are celebrating the first snow of the year, and what a joy to watch my 6m old playing in her first snow!  The kids put on their snow suits to go "roll around" in the snow for awhile before they have to head off to school.

I must go and take pictures!!  And if I can get Gabriel out for a ride today, all will be perfect with the world..............

From a ridecamp reader and contributor who is fascinated with weather in other parts of the country (and world), would folks who send in descriptions like that below please identify their state and general location within that state?  I enjoy sitting here when it's pouring rain and reading about someone in the SW who is enjoying the sun.  Conversely, I enjoy a warm, sunny day and reading about a blizzard in the Midwest.  I just love weather!
