[RC] ORTHO-FLEX SADDLES - rides2far

My OF traditional with the boar hide and
original booties is worth almost twice what I paid for it...but I'm
not selling,

My Express was #003, made with the double thickness flaps (they're single
thickness on later models) and the 2" wide billet which I *loved* but
they were never able to get stainless steel buckles for it so
discontinued that style. They originally sold for $999. I got mine new
from a guy who lived by the factory and traded them a buggy he built for
it. Gave him $500. It *might* be worth somewhere in that neighborhood now
but it looks like the wrath of God. I've ridden holes into the flaps, and
the seat has impressions where my seat bones hit. The stitching on the
back of the seat is completely rubbed away from my fanny pack but it
hasn't come apart...just sort of all became one piece of leather. They
really hold their value well. I bought my daughter a 10 year old saddle
just like mine and was thrilled to get it for $700 or $800 (I can't
remember which). Could probably get the same for it now after 4 years.
My neice bought the Amigo at the introductory price and it's probably
worth more now than she gave for it since they went way up after that.

If anybody out there wishes they had a full sheepskin cover for an
Express post me privately. I got a good deal on a Jan's sheepskin full
flap cover but don't care for the side padding. It's like new. Might take
a basic seat cover in partial trade.
