Karen has a very good point about speed.  I kinda glossed over the
"top tens" on the LDs and just read "slow 50."  Hmmmm...  My idea 
of "slow" is 9-10 hours of ride time (so 11-12 hours to complete).  And "top 
ten" isn't even in my vocabulary.

Of course, every horse is different.  As is every ride.  And every
rider.



But, when it comes to getting the miles on horses, ride after ride,
I'll bow to Karen's experience. :)
