RE: [RC] [RC] Question about fear - Christina McCarthy

"I was reading some emails on "Fear" that some people had emailed in. I
had a question: Do horses really trust us enough that they could learn
not to spook while your riding them?"

My Theory so far about the "fear" thing is that JJ is less fearful when I am Less FEARFUL>>>amazing isn't it? When I let myself go and ask him to gallop up a hill, he looses his fear and will do it joyfully.....unless I am worried by what he might do, or how he might perceive that...
at that point his neck goes up and his effortless stride becomes choppy and hesitant...
So, I need to work on that...when I was younger, I really didn't contemplate my mortality...Blissfully ignorant...
So to fight fear is the combination of blissful ignorance and oneness with the horse....being all aware and happy with the world...

Chris & JJ(where do you come up with this crap?) lol
