RE: [RC] [RC] [RC] Pat Oliva in the Hospital - Deanna German

Howard is right. (Geez, did I really say that??)

The RM of the Ohio ride confirmed for me that it was indeed Pat Oliva whom I
saw riding with the bum wing. That was the first endurance ride I ever
observed and I was in awe, thinking that there was no way I could ever, ever
do that kind of riding. I'm still in awe of Pat and could never do what she
did, but she was an inspiration for me that day, and the miles keep getting
shorter.

Thanks Pat! I wish you a speedy recovery!

This woman is incredibly tough. I had the privilige of riding with her that
last leg at Leatherwood in 2003, when the sky opened up and let out the
biggest deluge I'ver ever seen during an endurance ride. It was a monsoon on
trails that were tricky enough when they were dry.
