[RC] The Numbers Are Running Against Us - rides2far

Darn right it's regional, in fact, it's a state thing. And, in
eastern > Tennessee and the western mountains of North Carolina,
Walkers rule.

I've lived in East TN mtns. all my life. Walkers only rule in the crowd
that has the huge insulated saddle bags and don't want their beer to
shook up. Quarter Horses rule in numbers, but most are just out for a
holiday with their team penning horses. There's enough Arab endurance &
CT riders to make it automatic that when they see us coming they shift
over for us to pass. In the areas like Big South Fork where there are
quite a few "outfitters" they have Walkers cause you don't have to know
how to ride to hop on one and go.
